Multiple messages in a day

When one is in a spiritual path, the journey is not always in the same pace. There may be many lessons at one time, and then there is a quiescent period when we have to assimilate and incorporate the lessons learned.

Recently I have been on a speedy journey, too many things coming my way and there was a sort of self doubt and the thought whether I am having enough support from the Universe, and also, if I am on the right path.

On 15- 11- 15 (look at the numbers), during my sleep, thrice I was shown a series of numbers, with the instruction to remember them and to write them down on waking up. In half awake state I repeated the numbers many times in my mind and on waking up, wrote them down. The numbers were 111, 157, 531, 1. I was curious what it meant.

I wrote down the alphabets represented by the numbers and tried to see whether they made any sense. It was an exercise in vain. Then I searched for the meaning of those numbers. And there I got the message, which answered my thoughts that were troubling me recently.

111

Number 111 is a powerful number of manifesting and manifestation. Number 111 symbolizes the principles of spiritual awakening and enlightenment, high energy,
inspiration and intuition, self-expression and sensitivity.  It is a message that the Universe is very aware of your persistent thoughts and ideas as these are manifesting quickly into your reality.

111 also encourages you to assist and inspire the human race via your natural abilities, relying upon your inner-wisdom and intuition to guide you.  Be an inspirational guiding light to bring illumination to others and to help raise spiritual awareness. Trust that the Universe support you in your ‘lightwork’.

157

157 is a message that the choices and decisions you have made and the changes you are contemplating and undertaking are very positive and will be of benefit to you in many ways.  Your positive thoughts, beliefs and optimism will manifest great success, happiness and fulfilment in your life.  Keep up the great work you have been doing, and stay happy and optimistic within as this will be reflected in your life.

531

531 is a message from the Ascended Masters that you are fully supported and encouraged to make the necessary life changes that will bring you into alignment with your life purpose and soul mission.  Give any fears or feelings of anxiety to the Universe for healing and transmutation, and have courage and confidence that all is going according to the Divine plan.

531 suggests that your thoughts, feelings and impressions are being infused with Divine guidance, and you are being aided and assisted with the life choices and changes you are making.  Trust that these changes are for your highest good and are in-line with your soul purpose.  You are surrounded with love and blessings.

531 can also suggest that a new door will open for you soon.  Trust in the process of life.  Do not worry about not knowing what is coming up next for you because when that door opens, you will KNOW that it is the right one for you. Be free to be yourself and express your truths.

1

Number 1 is a reminder that we are all connected.  It also encourages you to take up challenges with total faith and trust in yourself and the Universal Energies.

The light coming on

In the morning while I was driving the car, suddenly the cabin light came on and after a few seconds, it switched off by itself. It has never happened before or after that.  I remarked to my husband, it is giving some message to me. Now I know that it was an indication that the Universal forces are with me in my endeavors.

The falling picture stand

While doing my routine crystal gazing, I saw a dark face. I was not sure whose it was, then thought it must be Tirupathi Balaji. So I was noting it down on the calendar, when one of the picture stands on the adjacent table fell down, on the table itself. I lifted it up and when I saw the face, realized that this was what I saw on the crystal. It was Shri Uvassagarham Parshwanath. Lord Parshvanath preceded Lord Mohair by 25O years.

Even during the period of Bhagavan Mahavir the faith and devotion for Bhagavan Parshvanath was wide spread. The masses strongly believed that remembering the name of Bhagavan Parshvanath was the panacea for all troubles as well as the means of success. This was the reason that in Bhagavan Mahavir’s time Bhagavan Parshvanath was popularly known as "Purushadaniya".

So that was one special day when I got several messages that cleared many doubts.

Reiki, my spiritual Guru

During B K Shivani’s talk in Belgaum, she told that as a continuation of the function, at the Brahmakumari’s centers in Belgaum, they will conduct 7 days Rajayoga meditation course after a day. The timing was 7 to 8 am and 7 to 8 pm. I felt like attending the course, but the timing was not convenient. It was announced that if a different timing was sought, one could talk to the sisters at the center and they will arrange it.

We went early morning the next day and told the sister there that we would like to get a time slot of 6 to 7 am. She asked me for my phone number and told she would inform me when it was arranged. I didn’t get any call and I took it that the Universe is not approving. As I go by the signs of Universe, it was ok with me.

During those days, we were watching the TV programme ‘Reporters’ and then it ended. So we just started listening to ‘Awakening with Brahmakumaris’, which was a talk show with BK Shivani. Then after two three days, I saw ‘Learn Rajayoga meditation sitting at your home”. Wow! I couldn’t believe it for a moment.

So from 3rd November 2015 we are watching the Rajayoga meditation program daily. I was surprised that many of the things BK Shivani tells I have already been practicing. And who was guiding me? Reiki. I have come to realize that even though I learned Reiki basically to take care of physical problems, it was leading me on through my spiritual path. That it was doing it so systematically, I realized only on listening to BK Shivani’s talks.  When we prepare ourselves, things just fall into our laps. Even after experiencing it multiple times, it still amazes me!

Holy plants appearing by themselves

In childhood I used to find Lord Shiva very fascinating, though I didn’t know the reason. But my mother told me not to worship Shiva, as according to her, ‘Shiva is “Kshiprakopi” in Malayalam. It means He can get angry very fast. She told that during the puja rituals if we commit any mistake, it can have dire consequences. I listened to her advice.

As I started advancing spiritually and started getting messages from the Universe, I saw things differently and started worshipping Shiva. At a later stage I started doing Havan for Him too. Whenever we visit any ancient Shiva temple, I would buy small Shivlings. I feel I’m bringing some positive vibes of that place by doing this.

Two such Shivlings I kept on a pedestal in our green house and daily morning I put sadabahar flowers on them.

Recently I saw three plants growing on the walls near to the Shivlings. It is interesting to notice which these plants are.

The Peepal

One is a peepal plant. The peepal or Bohdi tree is sacred to the Hindus and Buddhists. Apart from religious significance, the leaves of the tree have been used for curing and treating a variety of conditions. In every temple you can see peepal trees.

Most plants largely uptake Carbon dioxide and release oxygen during the day (photosynthesis) and uptake oxygen and release Carbon dioxide during the night (respiration). Some plants such as Peepal tree can uptake Carbon dioxide  during the night as well because of their ability to perform a type of photosynthesis called Crassulacean Acid Metabolism (CAM).

Many harmful bacteria found in the air can affect mentally and physically, but when the air touches the leaves of the peepal, the harmful bacteria are destroyed.

The Peepal tree also has astrological connotations. The tree is closely linked with the planet Jupiter. Jupiter being the most rewarding planet in astrology, its presence is always regarded as both rewarding as well as graceful.

The Peepal tree is believed to be Lord Shiva’s abode. It is believed that both good and evil souls reside in the Peepal tree. The greatness of the worship of this tree lies in the fact that whosoever worships the Peepal tree gets a reward equal to worshipping Lord Shiva. Peepal tree worship alone has the tendency to overcome all planetary afflictions.

Sadabahar (Periwinkle)

Periwinkle is a symbol of eternity and of being, of life force; it is a harbinger of spring. The evergreen glossy tough leaves of the periwinkle can withstand both freezing temperatures and heat, so that’s why this plant is a symbol of eternity.

It is known as ‘Sadabahar’ meaning ‘always in bloom’ . The purple sadabahar flowers are so full of energy and I love placing them on the Shivling every day. These flowers symbolize benevolence, gifts from the heart and charms that delight the spirit. They are in tune with the crown chakra.

Thumbappoo plant

Lord Shiva’s favorite flower is said to be thumbappoo. Thumbappoo is a very small flower in pure white. Thumba plant is very common in Kerala and it is used in some ayurvedic medicines. Thumbappoo has a main role in the floral decoration (atha poo) of Onam festival. It is also used in 'Karkkidaka vavu bali tharpanam'(a ritual offered to the ancestors).

Interesting to see that the thumba plant grew, leaned towards the Shivlings and gave flowers(Feb 2016)

Meditation fad

When people approach me for healing, there’s one repeated request I hear so often.
‘I want to do meditation, but I’m not getting concentration.’
‘Why do you want to do meditation?’ A convincing answer is yet to be received. It has become a fashion to say ‘I do meditation’

Part of the whole

We (jeevatmas)  are all part of the whole (paramatma). There is a constant longing to get back to the paramatma. Ordinarily we feel this longing as a lack and try to fill this lack by accumulating materialistic things and having relationships. These things give us a feeling of fullness or happiness for sometime, then that vacuum resurfaces. Those who are in the routine rat race keep chasing similar objects and may remain in the same track till death. There is nothing wrong with that. All of us will (or were? Remember, time is only in the mind) be there at some point in time.

Once a friend genuinely asked me, ‘I am not interested in spirituality. I love buying clothes, ornaments etc., in abundance. I really enjoy stuffing myself with good food. Is there anything wrong with me?’

I told her, ‘No, nothing wrong. Go ahead and enjoy fully.’

There will be a time when those things stop giving pleasure and then the journey starts deviating in another direction.

Those who stop and analyse the life pattern become aware that the inner self is looking for something beyond the worldly things. Meditation helps to have a look deeper into the self. I would consider meditation in three stages.

Awareness of the thoughts.

Millions of thoughts pass through our mind every day. Majority of them are useless and repetitive, but a lot of our energy is drained through this process. We think that when we sit for meditation, there should not be any thoughts. But the mind has been busy 24/7 so far and suddenly how can it be silent?

So the first step is to become aware when a thought arises. Then, as it used to happen so far, don’t run in the direction of that thought. The moment you become aware of that thought, it loses its hold on you and it passes off. Then of course another thought is going to appear. With practice, gaps start appearing between the thoughts. They are moments of peace and stillness. And you start enjoying it. Spiritual journey needs real tenacity. One has to just keep at it.

Awareness of your Being

As time progresses, besides those moments of peace and stillness, you start feeling something deeper. An awareness of the real you, beyond the body and the mind. Thoughts may still arise, but now the gaps are longer.

When you reach this stage, there will be awareness of that inner being even when you are involved in the worldly activities. It is common for conflicts to appear now. The worldly attractions (as are your friends pulling you into their circle for enjoyment) pull you to one side, and the source of bliss (the drops of which you are getting to experience) to the opposite side.

For one totally into the worldly life, there is no conflict. They may tell lies, cheat friends, take bribes, but have the justification that ‘these are normal things that every body does to lead a normal life in today’s time.’

It needs real determination to cross this stage.

Awareness of the silence

Now there is awareness of total silence. You and the Universe become one. And now, yes, now we reach the stage of ‘no thought’.

A message

I got this message from the universe, for the question whether it is possible to progress in the spiritual path while living a normal life.

I saw a seedling sprouting from the flower that I had kept on the table for four days. Normally the flower will dry up, the seeds will fall off and germinate when suitable conditions like soil, water and sunlight are available. Here, the plant has taken life straight from the flower. Ok, so it is possible to stay in the world and go to the higher planes of spiritual realm.But.....

...when I took the flower out of the container, I saw the roots. The container had water.Yes, one can go higher up, provided you have proper roots. The roots are the eight limbs of Yoga : yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana, and samadhi. The water that is needed is unbroken faith!

Connecting with the energy beyond.

When I heard that BK Shivani (of Brahmakumaris organization) was coming to Belgaum, I was very excited. I wanted to listen to her. Earlier I had listened to some of her talks on television. I probed myself to see what I was intending to gain.

Active spiritual journey started for me in 1980. I have come a long way, I can feel the peace and bliss now and then. I would like to be in that state all the time, yes, that was what I was looking for.

An amazing experience

Every moment of the time spent with Shivani was worth the weight of gold. She explained beautifully that though we cannot escape the results of our karma, how we react to it is totally in our control. We often get disturbed by the behavior of others. If we think logically, can the outer experiences and behavior of others be always according to our liking? Not possible because we are the product of our circumstances and our reactions are influenced by our beliefs and customs, which are formed over many incarnations.

The net result?

By getting irritated or angry, our mental peace is disturbed and it spoils our relationships too. If we can remind ourselves that all of us are souls, passing through different journeys, it will be a little easy to see through the outer behavior and have a glimpse of the soul behind, which is pure, peaceful and powerful. Then we can choose to remain calm and respond in a logical way.

When we respond in a calm manner over and over again, it brings out the similar qualities in the other person. Because these qualities are already inside us, they were just buried deep for long. So the advantage for us is twofold. We are maintaining our mental peace at the present and we are sowing the seeds for a beautiful relationship in the future.

How to maintain calmness

As souls, we are all pure, powerful, peaceful, filled with love, knowledge and wisdom. When the soul is clothed in the human body and we go trough the experiences of life, these qualities are masked by negative qualities. We are microcosms (Jeevatmas), we can get in touch with the macrocosm (Paramatma) which is the embodiment of all those positive qualities. We can then draw these qualities into ourselves. And this is possible through meditation.

She made us do a short meditation and in that charged atmosphere, it was a heavenly experience. We were guided to have the connection with the Paramatma in that short duration. I have been having that connection since long, but this time it felt deeper. On the way back home I was just thinking whether it was only my imagination. At that moment my eyes fell on the board above a shop, ‘Shiva Connections!’ Voila! I got my answer.

Proof from the Universe

Before sleeping we did our usual meditation. At about 12 o’clock, I woke up to some sound. It was not too loud; I listened for some time to locate its origin. I got up and went out. It was coming from the area where the inverter and the burglar alarm were kept. When the electricity goes and then comes back, usually the alarm will make a loud sound that lasts for a few seconds.

I woke my husband up, who tried different methods to stop the sound. In the end he just disconnected and we went to sleep. In the morning he connected it back and there was no problem!

I remembered what my teacher had said to me once, ‘As we increase our connectedness and telepathic abilities, expect more of electronic malfunctions to occur. They are some kind of energy transmission.’ Instances of electrical short circuits, breaks in circuit and surges are associated with our swiftly changing vibrational fields and incoming frequencies of energy.

Golden lessons at our door step

We were returning to Belgaum on 8th October after a two weeks vacation, and on the way I saw a huge billboard “First time in Belagavi, Live talk show by – BK Shivani (International Management Trainer) – “ Balance sheet of life”, on 18th October 2015, Sunday. I have listened to a few talks of her on TV and have been impressed. I said to my husband, ‘She is coming on a Sunday, so we can attend it. Please find out about it’. He was too busy with so many other things and I left it to the Universe.

Two days later a friend called me up and asked whether we are in station on 18th because she wanted us to attend the talk show. Half an hour later she came home and gave me the entry pass for two people. On the next day another friend called up and gave us VVIP passes for the ‘Interactive Get-together & a brief meditation session by Shivani’, on 17th evening and 18th morning. Now I was really on cloud nine!

What an experience it was! On 17th evening we got seats somewhere in the middle row. She explained clearly what meditation is and that during meditation we are establishing our connection with the highest power. Once we can imbibe power from there, we can deal with any situation in life with a calm mind and we will have all the energy to find a suitable solution.

I wished to sit somewhere in the front on the second day. So we went a little early and as we reached the venue, another couple, our friends, also reached at the same time. We entered the hall together and one of the organizers, who knew our friends, led us to the front and we got to sit on the very first row!

Jwalamukhi Devi's gift

Jwalaji's temple is one of the Shaktipeeths. This is where Devi Sati's burning tongue fell.  One can see flames coming from crevices on the  earth.

Once emperor Akbar tried to extinguish the flame  by covering it with a heavy golden disc. The  flame burst open the disc and changed the  characteristic of gold. Part of it has been taken  for analysis, and it couldn't be determined which  metal it is now.

We had a Pundit to get puja done in Jwalamukhi temple . He took us around, then  from the feet of a huge picture of Devi, he  picked up an yellow rose and gave me as  Prasad. I received it in my right palm, then  transferred it to my left hand while walking towards the exit.

While  getting out of the temple, I felt something metallic in my left palm. I opened  my hand, and saw two one rupee coins  along with the yellow rose. No words can explain  what I felt at that moment.

After Reiki came into my life in 1997, I am used to experiencing every day miracles. But this experience was too overwhelming for me. May Jwalamukhi Devi always protect me!

The appropriate mantra

We were travelling from Thaliparamba to Kanhangad by road on February 4th, 2015. It was about two hour’s journey and I wanted to chant mantra for a dear one who was not feeling so well. I know more than a dozen mantras and ‘Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya’ came to my mind. So during the journey I kept chanting the mantra.

When we reached Nityananda ashram in Kanhangad, on the arch above the main gate, I saw ‘Om Namo Bhagavate Nityanandaya’. Something inside me told that the selection of mantra was appropriate.

After a few days I was just going through the SSRF (Spiritual Science Research Foundation) site and to my astonishment I saw that I was indeed chanting the appropriate mantra on that day!

It happened just like every time, I will be guided to the correct path and later, evidence will be given. Such is the way of the Universe!

Shiva darshan

He wanted to get a past life regression done to know how come he is a Shiva worshipper, though his father is an atheist. In his thirties, I was surprised to know that he does puja after bath every day before going to the office.

He went into a deep trance soon and saw a past life as a girl. Later in that she was in Tipu Sultans’ place where she felt very safe and happy. After the last day in that life when I asked what the lesson for that life was, he recited a Sanskrit sloka of four lines. The pronunciation was very crisp and it was recited fast. I thought that he must definitely have learned Sanskrit in this life. Imagine my shock when he told that he has no knowledge of Sanskrit at all!

When I was guiding him to find out his guide for this life, he saw a person standing with his back towards him. “He is tall, dark. The hair is long and he has not combed his hair, they look matted. He has a trident in his hand and something like a drum is tied onto the trident. He fixed the trident on the ground and is swimming away.  “Then he described Shiva’s message for him for this life.

Whenever I conduct sessions for clients I am fortunate to see whatever the clients are experiencing. I was ecstatic to have Shivji’s darshan during the session.

When he came out of the session, I asked who his guide is. He told that he didn’t know. I told he gave an accurate description of Lord Shiva as his guide for this life. He was happy that he got his answer.

After this incidence we made a trip to Nityananda ashram in Knagangad and in the evening we were sitting in front of the temple over the cave. There is a small idol with many tridents at its back and there was one trident standing on the ground in front. And at the back there was a water body. I got goose pimples as I remembered the scene of Shivji fixing the trident on the ground and swimming away.

It is just a matter of time

The seed is on the tree, the tree is in the seed,
For one to manifest into the other
It is just a matter of time.

God is in the man, Man is in the God
For one to manifest into the other
It is just a matter of time.

When Bhakti waters the soil of Knowledge,
Mind, the seed covering breaks open in time,
Discarding the veils of ignorance,
And there manifests the God in man!

The Star, the Sun and the moon of 2015

We started the New Year with a meditation on the midnight of Deceber 31st 2014 in Tiruvannamalai. On the January first, Jeevatma and Pia Sofia invited interested people for Anandamandala meditation and a tarot card reading later.

At 11 am a few of us assembled together and had a wonderful Anandamandala meditation. Then Pia Sofia spread out the Tarot cards and each one of us picked a card. I got ‘The Star’, which is a very spiritual card. I was really happy. It can help accomplish nearly anything that I set out to do now. One can expect new opportunities to come flying into life if one is open to them. It also indicates that one is so in touch with spirituality that this is a great time to reach out to others, and to share the wisdom and joy. The efforts in doing so will be repaid many times over.

We came back from Tiruvannamalai and on Monday the fifth January, I was doing puja in my Reiki Academy. As I burned the camphor, the Sun suddenly peeped through the clouds and was shining brightly into my third eye. It was an amazing experience! After a moment it disappeared into the clouds again.

During the morning yoga time, I do upavistha konasana sitting between the wall and a pillar and there is a glass window in front of me. On three consecutive days from 6th January, while doing upavistha konasana, the moon was shining on me and it was a pleasant sight. Later the position of the moon changed and I couldn’t see it.

I feel really blessed to get messages from the Star, the Sun and the Moon this year!

The tilting Trishul

Tiruvannamalai is a world renowned temple town in TamilNadu which is synonym to deepam(fire). Here Shiva (Arunachaleswar) is worshipped in the form of fire.

In Hindu mythology, Parvati, wife of Shiva, once closed the eyes of her husband playfully in a flower garden at their abode atop Mount Kailash. Although only a moment for the gods, all light was taken from the universe, and the earth, in turn, was submerged in darkness for years. Parvati performed penance with other devotees of Shiva, and her husband appeared as a column of fire at the top of Annamalai hills, returning light to the world.

Ramana Ashram is situated in Tirvannamalai, where Ramana Maharishi, the 20th century saint lived here and taught simple  methods of meditation to his disciples from all over the world.

We have been visiting Tirvannamalai for starting New Year in meditation since three years. This time on January first, we went to the temple early morning and the first food that we took on New Year was Prasad. While coming back, I bought a beautiful Shiva’s idol with trishul.

On our drive back, there were many temples on the way. I noticed the idol in only one temple, and it was a bigger version of the idol that I had bought. After reaching home, I kept the idol in my puja room.

Next day morning when I entered the puja room, I noticed that the Trishul that was stuck straight on the wall was tilting in the direction of Shivji’s idol. That Trishul I had received as Prasad from Kedarnath some years back and all this time it was always remaining straight on the wall.

Thank you Lord Shiva for showing me your presence in my puja room! And I uprighted the Trishul on the wall.
