How to find missing/misplaced things, pets

 

Yesterday I read this message in between my study time.

“Good evening ma'am. I had kept a spare mobile somewhere in my house which is now switched off. I am not able to remember where I have kept it.  Ma'am please guide me in this.”

The moment I read it, a picture popped up in my mind, where the article was located. Usually I give a few minutes to confirm what I felt initially. Then I gave her my message.

And today morning this is the first thing that I got to read:  

“Amazing ma’am, I just sat down and did Reiki thinking about your guidance regarding the place you told. After Reiki I went and opened the drawer adjacent to the Pooja room wall. It was there in the drawer which I opened.

Thank you so much ma'am.

My son is the one who had told me to ask you, it did not occur to me to ask you.”

Now I have to tell you that her son is a Reiki child. I had given her Reiki while she was pregnant with him.

Discovering the ability

It was in 1999/2000 that my friend from UK had misplaced the Reiki book that I had gifted her and told me that she wanted to read it, but couldn’t find. The moment I heard, I felt it was on the upper compartment in a rack against the wall in her house (I hadn’t visited her house at that time) with a paper over it, thereby obscuring the book. I said this to her and to her astonishment, more so to my astonishment, she found it exactly in the same place. Then onwards, she would approach me for any missing thing, like ear rings, chain, thumb drive etc., and I could always help her.

Extending help to others

Once I knew about this ability, when I heard any friend or relative complaining of lost objects, I would tune in, get information and help them to recover the things. Later some people approached to get information on lost pets, and they were so happy to be reunited with them.

Why not in all cases?

I cannot say that in every single case there was a positive outcome. This set me to thinking what may be the deciding factor. These are my speculations:

1.       Now that I am learning astrology, I know that if a person is having certain planets ruling at the time they approach me, they may not get a positive outcome. I have a reason to believe this. In some instances, they would find the misplaced object after weeks or months, though they search several times in between.

2.       Recently a missing middle aged person’s relative approached to find him. In this case, his leaving the house is the result of past karma of him and the closely related people. And he may have left the house to go through a set of experiences that his higher self has planned. I have learned that we should not try to interfere with the general Universal plan, and there is no need to feel remorse.

Becoming a writer

 

I knew very early on in my life that I had literary ability when I got my first travelogue published in a children’s magazine at around the age of ten. Then in the school magazines and college magazines I continued to write followed by articles in the news papers and stories in magazines. There came a break for a few years, especially during our stay in Libya where I got absolutely no time to pursue writing.

But I was determined

A couple of weeks back I came across a page in my diary of 1990, when we had come back to India from Libya. Here it is:

From then on I started noting down every idea that came into my mind and developing them into articles. Many middles were published in ‘Deccan Herald”, stories in several magazines including ‘Woman’s Era”.

Getting more professional

I joined a correspondence course from Australia where they put you under the tutelage of an established writer. I got a wonderful lady as my tutor. There used to be lessons to go through, then she would ask me to write  articles, stories, plot for a novel, for radio, and interview somebody on a topic and do a write up. The course was designed for one year. The finished exercises  had to be sent to Australia by post, she would make corrections and send back. It was in the thick of my professional life as the Professor and Head of a department in the dental college, while looking after my growing children, taking them for their extracurricular activities and doing all the cooking at home. So it took me about three and a half years to finish the course in 2000.

 Meanwhile I became a member of the ‘United Writers' Association" in 1999.

I published a booklet on my dental speciality, and a book on Reiki. Started my first blog in 2004 and another one in 2011, and continue to publish articles.

Hard work all the way

Whatever I have achieved in writing is through dedicated hard work, as you can see. I believe that achievement in life is innate capability multiplied by hard work. Think about this saying :

“Attainments in life do not mean that you do extraordinary things. But you do ordinary things with full involvement such that they become extraordinary."

The Fallacy Of Surrogacy

Life between lives

Life Between Lives therapy is used to explore the period from the death of one earth’s life and the start of the next life. Pioneer in this field is Dr. Michael Newton. A deep hypnotic process developed over many years is designed to reconnect you with your soul self, your guiding beings and thereby awaken an understanding of your immortal identity. It requires much deeper trance than that of a Past Life Regression (PLR) Therapy, which is possible to attain after several sessions of PLR.

After spending several years as a PLR facilitator, I underwent an LBL session, and also conducted it for a couple of clients. This reveals the organization of souls and spiritual advancement in the afterlife - selection of a new life – Soul mates – Purpose of life – Perceptions of the Creator – and The birth process. It became so clear to me how we design the blue print for the next life, depending on our experiences in the life that we just finished.

Not getting a child in this life?

There are many couples (I think the number is overwhelming as compared to the older generations) who are not getting children in the recent years. The reasons can be pinned onto so many things. We need to look seriously at the fact that the earth is being overcrowded by human beings that threaten the existence of other species, and even the Earth! After the LBL sessions, I got a clear understanding that the couples are not blessed with a kid because that was their decision before taking this incarnation. Their life was designed not to bring up kids, but for something else.

Living in a hypnotic state

If we look around, it is clearly visible that we are being hypnotized into believing things that go against our core nature. Those childless couples are hypnotized into believing that life is worthless without children and all their parents, relatives and friends put constant pressure on them to try various modern techniques to beget a child. Man being the only creation that can change the path of his life, can get children through medical interventions.

Starting from IUI (Intra Uterine Insemination), where sperm is placed directly into the uterus using a speculum, to IVF (In-Vitro Fertilization), when eggs are surgically removed using a needle that goes through the back of the vagina, and those eggs are fertilized outside of the body and then implanted into the uterus, we have now surrogacy method. Apart from those struggling with infertility, celebrities use surrogacy for a variety of reasons, including being a same-sex couple. I was shocked when a young dentist from a metropolitan city of India remarked,” If I have money, why should I spoil my body to have a child? It is better to have one through surrogacy.”

Surrogacy

Surrogacy involves a woman agreeing to carry a baby for someone else. After the baby is born, the birth mother gives custody and guardianship to the intended parent or parents. Surrogacy has complex legal and medical steps that must be met.

For a surrogate mother, all expenses will be covered by the intended parents — everything from screening costs to medical procedures to the legal expenses. In addition, she’ll receive a monthly payment. 

A common question asked is: - Does a surrogate mother share her DNA with the baby? The Medical answer is “No”, the reason being, in a compensated surrogacy arrangement with a gestational carrier, the baby's DNA comes from the intended mother's egg, or from an egg donor, and from the intended father's sperm, or from a sperm donor.

From the social point, surrogacy spawns issues such as exploitation of women, its potential to split parenthood and even deny basic rights to children born under such agreement etc. Moreover, it raises various ethical and moral issues such as commoditization of child, which according to various international conventions is illegal.

The Cerbrospinal Fluid

Harvard-trained physician Mauro Zappaterra describes the embryonic origins and the extent and function of our cerebrospinal fluid, and shows the remarkable parallels between its anatomy and the descriptions realized by yogis down the ages. He introduces us to the composition of the CSF, which include melatonin and DMT((N-dimethyltryptamine), and asks whether this is the physical feature that allows us to be conscious of our beingness.

The developing embryo floats in the amniotic fluid, which is in the amniotic sac. It is generated from maternal plasma, and passes through the foetal membranes by osmotic and hydrostatic forces. If we put the above mentioned information to this fact, the consciousness of the ‘beingness’ is inherited from the surrogate mother, not from the egg donor, if that is somebody else.

Connection through the Umbilical cord

It is a fact that the physical umbilical cord is severed after birth, but the etheric cord exists through life. That is how children and mothers get telepathic information of each other. A child born out of surrogacy will have this connection with the surrogate mother. Through life, that child will be in an unknown mental agony whenever the birth mother is going through difficult times.

Mental emotional vibrations

Every mental/emotional vibration of the mother during pregnancy is transferred to the embryo. In a normal pregnancy if the mother is happy and reading spiritual books, the child born will have a calm and stable mind set. In a surrogate mother, when the surrogacy has been accepted for the monetary compensation, what will the thoughts passing through her mind and her emotional status? When she suffers from the physiological discomforts and by chance if any complications arise, can you blame her on cursing herself for taking up this responsibility? By basic human nature, she may be just waiting to get this over with so that she can get on with her life in a better way through the money earned from surrogacy, whether it was to buy a house or to complete education. What will be the effects of these on the foetus? It is anybody’s guess.

Really your child?

The child born of surrogacy will look like the parents, DNA functions may be like that of the parents. These may be written on the forehead, but deep down it is a different individual and what will be the karmic implications created by going against the decision that was taken at the soul level?

Rain In Goa And My Intense Sadhana

 When we planned a short trip to Goa from July 5^th, I had absolutely no idea that it was going to be a landmark journey of my life. On hindsight, I can see that I was given a notice on July 1^st when during my meditation I felt intense vibrations that was an experience of its own kind!

Starting with Shiv aradhana

Decades back I started worshipping Lord Shiva, doing milk and water abhishek on Mondays, and chanting His mantras regularly. Gradually I started getting directed to include Devi worship, with making lemon diyas, kumkum abhishek, lighting ghee lamps, and doing agnihotra.

Shiv Shakti

Then a shift happened in May 2022 . Only in retrospect I know that the shift happened then. On July 1^st it became clear that I am getting blessings of Shiva and Shakti in equal measures. 

So the sadhana also changed and it went in an intense manner in Goa.

Heavy rains forcing us indoors

All five days in Goa we had very heavy rains that kept us indoors most of the time. One day morning it was clear, giving us just enough time to go to the beach and wet our feet in the sea. So it was intense sadhana as directed by the Higher forces and I was totally in another dimension!

Eye gazing meditation

Suddenly it struck me that I could coax my husband to do eye gazing meditation with me. I have done it with my daughters and loved the experience.

It is a deeply connecting and transformative Buddhist meditative practice, a soul-connecting meditation to feel whole. One feels more connected to the other person, as if there was no separation between you, only union and harmony. One will also realise that the other is nothing else but a mirror that reflects your own inherent creativity, resourcefulness, and wholeness. Finally, as your ego lets go of its defence, you will experience what it is like to surrender to something greater than yourself, something divine and sacred.

So we sat down for this meditation and he started giggling. When you do for the first time, it is a common occurrence. I experienced it while doing with my daughter for the first time, so I told him not to worry; it would go off after some time. And so it happened and we had a good experience. I had set the alarm to know when to finish, and both of us felt that we had done only half of the time set.

Five days of Bliss

And then it went as directed by the Universe and both of us were totally recharged!

Clearing Karmic Debts

Jai Kishan (name changed) wanted to have a PLR (Past Life Regression session) with me. This 37 year old youth was so much pained by the behaviour of his relatives to him and his family. 

"They wouldn’t even mind killing us. I would like to understand why I was born in such a family. One particular uncle has so much hatred against me." I asked him to watch my short recorded PLR session for a couple of times before our appointment and he could get some glimpses of past lives.

The session starts

As I took him into trance, he saw himself as a man with long hair, wearing ornaments, standing in a long hall with many pillars. He was thinking of an old fragile woman with great concern.

On instruction to go to the moment he was with this woman, he recognised her as his mother. She was lying on a bed, looking at him with sad eyes and crying, as he was kneeling beside her. He was guided to a time when she was young. She was 25 years then, and he was a child. She was playing with him, lifting him and turning around. She was wearing a beautiful sari, and lot of gold ornaments. He noticed that they were living in a palace, with lots of servants around. He sensed that his mother and father were worried about something.

To that significant moment

On being guided to go to the most significant moment in that life time, he saw himself in a battle field, waging war against Moghuls. 

He was right next to his father, both were riding horses. He saw the huge army of the enemy in front, then one man came into focus, it was that hostile uncle of his present life. Suddenly he slashed his uncle’s throat, his head flew off. They won the war, his father was relieved and happy and the soldiers rejoiced.

Later years

He saw himself as the ruler, riding around in his kingdom, watching happy people. He had taken a decision to avoid battles. He was a much loved and respected king and people were very sad when he left his body.

The revelation

He got the answer why his uncle was holding so much anger towards him. It also explained why so many relatives were trying to harm them. Because in that war, he had killed so many and those souls will reincarnate to clear the karmic debt. I advised him to practice Ho'oponopono.

Ancient Polynesian beliefs were adapted in recent times by Hawaiian healers to solve current day societal ills. The phrase Ho'oponopono means to 'set right'; in this case setting things right by acknowledging one's responsibility for having caused wrong, seeking forgiveness and love, finally expressing gratitude.

Presence of energies during Reiki attunement

A sacred ceremony

Reiki attunements are sacred ceremonies for me and I am always assisted by Divine forces. The energies present vary with different persons and it gives me insights. I have felt the presence of Buddha, Jesus, Shakti, Mahadev etc., with different people. And when I asked, they were the Ishtadev of the persons concerned.

Vishnu energy with a child

Recently I was attuning a nine year old child and the presence of Vishnu energy was very strong. 

I asked the mother whether the child had any affinity to Vishnu/ Krishna, was she in the habit of saying “Hare Krishna” or “Hey Krishna”. The answer was negative. Then I tried to find out whether the main idol at her house was Lord Krishna, but it was not. I am aware that in spiritual pursuit, it is not always possible to get logical explanations and so I left it at that.

Here comes the revelation

After five days I got a message from her mother, “There are so many things that we forget in all this hustle and bustle of life. I recall reading Geeta and praying and serving Ladoo Gopal (Krishna’s childhood form that is worshipped) before I conceived and continued doing that during my pregnancy.”

We both were happy to get the little mystery solved! 

Changing Facet Of Times- Kamakhya Devi's Idol

A beautiful idol of Kamakhya Devi

About four years back I bought a metal idol of Kamakhya Devi. 

The Kamakhya Temple is a Hindu temple at Nilachal hills in Guwahati, Assam, dedicated to the mother goddess Kamakhya.  It is one of the oldest and most revered centres.  Structurally, the temple is dated to the 8th-9th century with many subsequent rebuildings, and the final hybrid architecture defines a local style called Nilachal. It is also one of the oldest of the 51 pithas in the Shakta tradition.

 An obscure place of worship for much of history it became an important pilgrimage destination, especially for those from Bengal, in the 19th century during colonial rule. The main temple is surrounded in a complex of individual temples dedicated to the ten Mahavidyas of Saktism, namely, Kali, Tara, Tripura Sundari, Bhuvaneshwari, Bhairavi, Chhinnamasta, Dhumavati, Bagalamukhi, Matangi and Kamalatmika.

The intriguing idol

Shiva, with his third eye, even sets Kama afire, but the eye (aksha) and desire (kama) merge to create Kamakhya.

They transform Shiva from Kamantaka, the killer of desire, to Kameshwara, the lord of desire. In South India, Kamakhya is called Kamakshi, and she is visualised with the symbols of Kama: sugarcane, flowers, and the parrot. In Assam, she is visualised very differently – as a six-headed, twelve-armed goddess, seated on a lotus that rises from the navel of Shiva, who rests on the back of a lion.

This image reminds one of the more popular Vaishnava image of Brahma seated on a lotus, rising from the navel of Vishnu, sleeping on the coils of a serpent. While in Vaishnava traditions, Brahma is visualised as frightened after his birth, Kamakhya of the Shakta traditions is visualised as all- powerful, even placing her foot on Shiva’s chest.

A place in my puja room

The idol was kept in my puja room and I started chanting the mantra for Devi daily. 

Since the idol never tarnished, I used to clean it only by dusting, and it never fell down from my hands.

The idol broke, breaking my heart

One day while dusting it, just like that it broke horizontally into two pieces, in my hands. 

Even now I am at a loss to understand how it could have broken, and I really felt very sad. Some consider that broken idols should not be kept at home. Somehow I didn’t feel like discarding it and on second day I got the message how to proceed.

So I set out to do as I was guided. I stuck the two broken parts in such a way that Shiva and Kamakhya are now in same level, with the lotus in Devi’s hand placed near the chest of Shiva. 

I felt a tremor of Bhakti on seeing the end result!

The logical mind’s explanation

Looking at the idol brings these general thoughts to mind, though it has personal connotations for me too.

Generally, especially in India, girls WERE traditionally groomed to become good wives and mothers. According to a popular verse of Neeti Sara, the 6 Noble Virtues a housewife should have are summed up in the verse:

‘Karyeshu Dasi, Karaneshu Manthri; Bhojeshu Mata, Shayaneshu Rambha, Roopeshu lakshmi, Kshamayeshu Dharitri, Shat dharmayukta, Kuladharma Pathni’.

The meaning being, “Be like a servant in doing the chores of the house, give intelligent advice like a minister to her husband, serve food to the husband as lovingly as a mother feeds her son, be like a courtesan in the Bedroom, beautiful like Maha Lakshmi and have the forbearance of Mother Earth.”

Changing priorities

But as women entered the general work force and men didn’t change their habits to share household responsibilities, there was friction and women started feeling better and superior to men, thus reducing their respect towards men. But now times are slowly changing, a man and woman are slowly becoming equal partners, as my new idol depicts! 

Can We Let Reiki Be The Controlling Factor In Our Lives?

  Yesterday I got an interesting question from a Reiki practitioner:

 “I do self healing every day, rarely do I skip. Once in a while I miss doing Reiki for three to four days and exactly on those days, I am seeing problems at my home and this has happened many times.  Mam, why is life dependent on Reiki to this level? Or is it compulsory to do it everyday? Am I doing any mistake?”

This really got me thinking. Are we letting Reiki be the controlling factor in our lives?

What is your controlling factor?

What is it that you want to do/have every single day of your life? Are you addicted to having your morning tea/ coffee? Is it ok if you don’t take bath before going to work? Is it ok if your spouse/child doesn’t give you that Good morning smile/kiss?

When we want so many other things in life on a daily basis, why are we reluctant to daily Reiki self healing?

Let us understand what Reiki does

First of all, Reiki balances the energy system of our body and mind. This ensures a smooth flow of life, keeping our mind clear and calm to deal with daily challenges in a peaceful, mature way. To me, doing daily Reiki self healing is akin to breathing every moment. Reiki heals us, protects us, ensures our growth, and most importantly, keeps us grounded.

Grounding, the challenging aspect of today’s life style

Excessive use of electronic devices, lack of home cooked (prepared with love) food, along with the absence of deep enriching human relationships keep us totally ungrounded. This state can affect the very basis of a healthy existence. Here Reiki comes as a real boon, helping us find our balance. And with such simple technique, that takes a little amount of time!
